Code Like a Girl was founded by developer and Computer Science graduate Ally Watson. After experiencing first hand the barriers women face in the male dominated industry of tech. She set out to spark change by inspiring a new generation of girls to acquire coding as a skill and to encourage more females to step into leadership roles.
The pursuit of gender equality has been a theme throughout Vanessa's work life, and while she believes the tech industry is an exciting, progressive and innovative space, it's no secret that women are far less represented than men. She's passionate about creating systemic change to breakdown the stereotypes and barriers which prevent girls from a career in coding.
