We’re conjuring up something magical for our autumn coding camps. Join your sisters in the CLG coven and put your wicked ways to good use.

Master the cryptic arts with crafty code, including:

+ Weaving an enchanting tale with your new friends using block-based coding

With the magic of interactive storytelling, we’ll introduce you to Scratch and provide you with the fundamentals of programming and coder logic!

+ Trying a bit of trickery with basic HTML

We’ll get you coding in HTML and a bit of javascript to build your own homework excuse generator – just in time for the next school term.

+ Learning the art of snake-charming with Python

As one of the most common entry-level coding languages, Python is super friendly for beginners. It’s clean and easy to use, but it also has applications in a wide variety of industries like data science, web development, robotics and even aerospace!

Not a parseltongue? No worries. All levels are welcome. Just bring your sense of mischief and we’ll get you casting code in no time.

Beyond the practical magic of coding, our camps will grow your technical confidence, introduce you to like-minded young women and reveal a whole new world of wonder.

About our coding camps

Code Like a Girl’s coding camps complement the National Digital Technologies curriculum. We’re committed to providing girls with a nurturing environment where they can comfortably learn and explore different areas of coding at their own pace, based on their own interests.

At just 20 girls per cohort, our coding camps are small in size to maximise learning outcomes. Breaking down barriers for women to participate in STEM and entrepreneurship is at the core of what we do and we’re committed to encouraging more girls to realise their potential.

But you can’t be what you can’t see, so all of our inspirational camp facilitators are female role models who work in the tech and education industries. Students will also hear from guest speakers sharing their real life experiences from within the industry.
