More than ever, 2018 is the time to empower girls with digital literacy and coding skills.

Looking to promote STEM education to your students? Why not book us in for a school visit. We deliver inspiring talks and workshops that engage girls from grades 1-12.

Code Like a Girl is one of the first initiatives in Australia to offer female-focused coding workshops. We put a great emphasis in providing girls with a nurturing environment to comfortably learn and explore different areas of coding at their own pace, Our workshops are small in size, and are led by mentors working in the industry. Code Like a Girl workshops complement the Digital Technologies curriculum; a comprehensive set of required content and achievement standards for all students from Foundation to Level 10 and are loosely structured in accordance with it.

Speaking Services

Code Like a Girl regularly attend, promote, and deliver keynotes at conferences, tradeshows, and schools around Australia. The team have a very strong background and experience in the Technology sector and in the past have presented at events such as Bazaar at Work (Harper’s Bazaar), Code in The Cinema (MIFF), General Assembly events, Pause Festival, Myriad and SEEK Camp just to name a few.

It was great to have Code Like A Girl run a workshop on HTML and CSS for a group of Year 9 girls. The workshop provided the perfect environment to expose our girls to the world of coding in the lead-up to the girls selecting their subjects for next year. The hands-on approach, having girls manipulate and write code throughout the workshop, led to the girls expressing feelings of accomplishment and interest in getting deeper into coding.
