Junior Workshop: Hour of Code - Create your own chat bot using Scratch! (Grades 1-6)

  • Odecee 6/15 William Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

Code Like a Girl is taking part in the global educational movement 'Hour of Code' and inviting girls of grades 1-6 to come along and spend the morning with us learning their first program in Scratch!

Ever wondered how a computer can ask you a question then respond to your answer, or even how Siri works? Hint: they don’t program themselves with the answers! Calling all junior coders to come and create their own online chat bot. We will take you through how to build these, step-by-step on Scratch. This is the perfect course for beginners.

The objectives of Code Like a Girl Junior Workshops is not only to teach girls to code but to spike girl's curiosity, encourage them to explore the countless possibilities of what they can do with code and enlighten them in all the opportunities and careers where coding skills apply.
